The English-taught undergraduate credit program is based on bachelor’s courses and graduate degree programs that are taught in English. The program is open to international students at the undergraduate level. It provides professional courses covering six fields including Education, Economics, Environmental Science, Philosophy, Law, and Sociology. Applicants can take courses in BNU faculties, schools, or departments as general advanced studies students. The study period is one semester or one academic year.
I. Application Requirements
1. Applicants should be in good health and of good character, respect Chinese habits and customs, and abide by both Chinese Law & Regulations as well as the university’s Rules & Regulations.
2. Non-Chinese citizens aged between 18 and 45 with a valid foreign passport.
3. Second year of college (including) or above.
4. Applicant’s English proficiency must meet the requirements of the majors applied for.
II. Application Period
Spring Semester (starting in February 2025) : October 08, 2024 -- December 15, 2024
Fall Semester (starting in September 2024) : March 15, 2024 -- June 30, 2024
III. Application Procedures
1. Online application. Log on to Beijing Normal University Online Application System For International Students at https://international.bnu.edu.cn/, register and complete the application, upload the electronic version of the application documents according to the requirements in Part IV, and pay the application fee of 450 RMB.
2. Review. After submitting the application, it goes through the review process. Applicants may attend remote interviews if required.
3. Print the application form. Download and print the Application Form for International Students in the Online Application System of Beijing Normal University, which is automatically generated by the system after completing the online application.
4. Sign and send the electronic application form. Please send the scanned signed application form to nondegree@bnu.edu.cn according to the instructions.
IV. Application Documents
1. “Beijing Normal University International Students Application Form”. Please log on to the Beijing Normal University International Student Online Application System (https://international.bnu.edu.cn/) and fill in the form online.
2. Passport Bio Page. Applicants who have a Chinese visa must provide the recent visa page.
3. Final Degree Certificate or Certificate of Enrollment.
4. Transcript of the final academic study period.
5. A letter of recommendation from a teacher. The letter of recommendation has no fixed format, it must be signed by the teacher.
6. Non-native English speakers are required to provide the proof of English proficiency according to the requirements of relevant majors or the proof of English-taught degree program issued by the attending institution; exchange students or the students from partner institutions should provide the proof of English proficiency according to the requirement determined in advanced by both parties.
7. Non-criminal Record. Exchange student are not required to submit.
8. Application fee of RMB 450. Please pay online through a personal account on Beijing Normal University International Student Online Application System (https://international.bnu.edu.cn/). Application fees can be waived for exchange students according to the relevant agreement.
* All application documents must be in Chinese or English. Please provide the notarized version of documents translated to Chinese or English from other languages.
* The application fee is non-refundable. It will not be returned regardless of whether the applicant is admitted by the institution.
* Applicants studying at a higher education institution in China during the application period, if admitted, must provide a completion or graduation certificate issued by that institution upon registration.

VI. Tuition Fee (Unit: RMB)
The tuition fee of English-taught Credit Program is calculated according to the number of credits, RMB 1800 per credit.
