1. Program Profile
This program supports overseas outstanding master's degree holders in pursuing doctoral degrees at Chinese universities. According to the university's academic requirements, it is usually 3 to 4 years.
2. Eligibility for Applicants
Non-Chinese citizens.
Language proficiency of HSK Level 5 or above, with preference given to those with excellent Chinese language proficiency under the same conditions.
A graduate with master's degree, or a fresh graduate of master's degree.
3. Application Materials
Notarized transcripts of undergraduate and master's studies, degree certificates (fresh master students should provide school documents) and a Chinese translation for each.
2 letters of recommendation from experts in the field.
Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) transcripts.
Abstracts of master's theses and other research results.
Doctoral study plan.
4. Application Access
Log on to http://csp.chinese.cn/myDoip, finish the online application, and mail the original application form and all other application materials (Chinese and English versions).
5. Review
The application materials will be evaluated by the targeted institutions and China Studies Program expert committee, and interviews will be conducted later.
6. Fellowship Coverage
Tuition.
Subsistence allowance and research allowance.
1 round-trip international travel per year (economy class, reimbursement based on actual expenses)
Medical and accidental insurance premiums during your stay in China.
Collective activities and cultural experiences.
7. Schedule
The expert communication review is conducted in March each year.
Interviews will be held within 1 month after the communication review.
Final results will be announced within 1 month after the interview.
Enrollment is usually in September.
